We’ve just been sent extra copies of Lincoln at Gettysburg: The Words that Remade America. This book is being featured as Cornell University’s New Student Reading Program book. Cornell has featured different books over the years for incoming freshman students to read – providing a common intellectual subject for new and transfer students to immerse themselves in. They hold book discussions and other events on campus centered around the current book and theme.
Cornell has offered to extend the reach of their efforts, inviting schools and libraries throughout New York State to become involved with the project.
We have a total of 5 copies of Lincoln at Gettysburg now, and copies of Cornell’s Study Questions.
To participate in this encompassing project, and learn more about Lincoln and his dynamic politics, come down to the library to check out your own copy and get your study questions!

P.S. Lincoln at Gettysburg is also on the Grades 10-12 Summer Reading List for Oyster Bay High School.
